Despite the fact that the products of the Tomsk-based Machine-Builders are marked by exceptional reliability, cost-effectiveness, high performance as well as compact size, its introduction into use by the Russian fuel and energy sector has been proceeding with significant challenges. The key hurdle on this path has, as a rule, been the overly gullible attitude of the executives of the Russian companies to the foreign sourced equipment even when it becomes abundantly clear that it loses in terms of efficiency and reliability. With some individuals this belief has grown into a habit which tends to die hard. It is not easy to buck this trend and to kick this habit.
