Drilling in the permafrost

Currently, the bulk of new oil and gas fields being developed in the northern latitudes in permafrost. Development of mineral deposits in these conditions leads to a significant increase in capital costs associated with the need to prevent the thawing permafrostrocks. This problem can be solved by applying a thermal insulating in the direction of drilling the well casing manufactured by JSC "Sibpromkomplekt" (Tyumen).
Conclusions
As you can see, the Russian manufacturersare also keeping pace with the progress, offering new and efficient drilling technology on permafrost. In conditions when new oil fields are located in remote areas of the north and require increased development costs for these technologies should pay special attention.
